Wendy Elliott

Wendy Elliott is a lively and dedicated licensed somatic psychotherapist, professor, and consultant who believes wholeheartedly in the philosophy of “The Body Knows.” Her warm and engaging training program in somatic psychotherapy highlights her natural ability to connect with others through her genuine understanding of body-based trauma. Wendy is more than a facilitator; she’s a passionate guide who has walked alongside many individuals on their journeys, helping them overcome self-defeating patterns.
 
Wendy’s approach is about much more than offering techniques for transformation and wellness; she creates a welcoming, supportive space where healing through embodiment naturally thrives. Her heartfelt care and insight make a meaningful difference for everyone she works with.
At her core, Wendy is an artist. She constantly seeks innovative ways to combine the body and creative expression in her healing practices. Her international work has taken her to Guatemala, where she worked with women war survivors using authentic movement to enrich their lives with powerful creative tools.
 
For more than 40 years, Wendy has led movement and nature retreats around the world, inspiring people to reconnect with their bodies and enjoy the beauty of nature. Her programs spark a sense of wonder and vitality, inviting participants to connect deeply with themselves and the world around them.
Wendy has also led a transformative stress reduction program for cardiac and chronic pain patients at New England Rehabilitation Hospital, inspired by the pioneering work of Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn. Her role as Dean of Student Programs and Community Development at Landmark College in Vermont showcased her dedication to fostering growth and community. Moreover, Wendy helped establish the Monadnock Mindfulness Center in Keene, New Hampshire, which continues to offer free mindful meditation instruction, enriching many lives.
 
A lifelong learner, Wendy’s journey reflects her genuine care for the people she works with and her passion for her field. She’s a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor, Board-Certified Dance-Movement Therapist, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Facilitator, Certified Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and RYT-300 hours. She is always eager to keep learning and growing. With degrees in Political Science/Communications, Dance-Movement Therapy/Counseling/Psychology, and Leadership Development, Wendy’s diverse background supports her work. More than anything, she hopes to inspire and empower others to live more fulfilling lives.
