REFUNDS AND CANCELLATION POLICY:
Full refunds, minus a $25 handling charge, are given until May 1, 2026. No refunds are available after May 1, 2026, for any reason whatsoever, including but not limited to cancellation, change of location, acts of nature, or failure of a participant to complete all four training modules (from now on “training program”) outlined above.
APPEALS:
A participant with extenuating circumstances that may permit exceptions to The Body Knows Refund Policy can fill out an Appeals Form. Appeals can result in a partial/full refund or be denied and are at the sole discretion of the Director.
ADA STATEMENT:
The Body Knows will comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) guidelines and regulations. Facilities and programs are accessible to persons with disabilities. The Body Knows will provide accommodations to participants with legally recognizable disabilities, including physical, visual, and auditory disabilities. Please allow as much advance notice as is possible to ensure we have ample opportunity to meet your needs. RELIGIOUS BELIEFS/POLITICAL BELIEFS:
The Body Knows does not require participants to accept or adhere to any religion, religious principal, creed or political principals.
GRIEVANCES:
Participants submit an evaluation form following each module where they can communicate concerns and grievances. Feedback is welcomed and carefully considered. Any other grievances may be addressed by contacting Wendy Elliott at wmelliott3@gmail.com.
LOCATION:
The Body Knows will be held at 206 North Signal St., Suite A, Ojai, California 93023. Training modules are planned to be live, in person events. However, the location and/or form of the training program may be changed for any reason by the Director, including but not limited to in compliance with County/State Orders. This includes a change from in person training to a video online format such as zoom or the like. This may create scenarios where the entire training program is done in person, where some modules are done in person and others are done via video online format, or the entirety of the training program is done via video online format. If a participant chooses not to complete the training program based on a change of location and/or form of the training program, this is not cause for a refund and the participant shall not be granted CE credits or be given a certification of completion.
WRITTEN MATERIALS:
Prior to the training program, each participate will be provided written materials. The review of the written materials is not a replacement for the training program and is not sufficient to award CE credits or a certificate of completion if a participant does not complete the training program. The Body Knows has proprietary ownership of these written materials. Each participant agrees they shall not duplicate, replicate or disseminate these written materials without prior written authorization by the Director.
CONFIDENTIALITY:
All information regarding the participants, including the identity and information submitted to The Body Knows by the participants, shall be confidential and secure. In addition, during the course of the training program the Director and/or the participants may share personal information, writings, or comments. Each participant agrees all personal information shared, in any form, shall remain strictly confidential and will not be released, revealed or disseminated without prior written authorization.
